A Poem a Day (175): The hermit

The hermit

My house of stone,
A pink-walled cave,
Grooves and spines.
This concave vault
Rolls as I heave it,
Lug it. Sands shift
Beneath my ten legs,
Pinchers steadying,
Antennae my eyes
As I seek seawater.
