November PAD Chapbook Challenge Day 7 – Feeling out

 
Day 7: write a feelings poem (see link)
 
Feeling out
 
In an effort to feel
it’s tempting to steal
emotions from another,
discarded in the deliver
 
for being unfelt
so never dealt.
Feelings drown out
if found in doubt.
 
You can’t miss
and you can’t fix
what you never won,
it can’t be redone.
 
It’s a one-off moment,
it can’t be lent,
can’t be resent,
so don’t guess what it meant.
 
You can’t have & hold
if you were never told.
You can’t win the day
if you don’t play.
 
A maze is a maze is a maze.
Caught inside the mind haze
it’s best not to laze,
just be amazed.
