A poem a day (2): The silencing

The silencing

Waking, she tells the time
Of a summer rhyme
Lost between the walls
So white and drifting in

Losing life by supper time
Her words turn into mime
Lost inside these walls
So grey and beckoning

A balancing act so fine
Where to draw the line?
Lost within these walls
So black and closing in

Sleep offers me a sign
Silencing thoughts of mine
At one inside these walls
So dark I'm sinking in
