For the
month of April, I’m writing a poem a day from prompts on https://www.napowrimo.net. On the website, you can click
on the headlines (Day One, etc) to view/add comments. There’s also a list of
participants’ sites below the site header.
Day 1
The prompt is based on Robert Hass’s remarkable prose poem, “A Story About the Body.” The idea is to write your own prose poem that,
whatever title you choose to give it, is a story about the body.
One step forward, he stands alone, taking Sunday for granted, making it his own. One step back, he speaks alone, never takes people for granted, this rolling stone.
