A Poem a Day (455): Dandelions

Dandelions

She blows dandelions,
heads taking flight
in a field strewn with them,
travelling lost.

The white petals float,
transparent ghosts
telling old stories,
travelling so lightly.

The middle part stays,
stuck on the stem’s end,
a memory of the whole
withstanding Fate.
