A Poem a Day (364): Libraries (3 haiku)

 Libaries: 3 haiku

We are what we know:
shelves stuffed with books, chapters spent,
and life creeping in.

Silence hums. We sit
reading other people’s lives,
ours on pause for now.

She tuts if we speak,
taps the ‘Silence’ sign. Freedom
waits for us outside.
