Have you ever wished your cat could talk or wondered where he/she goes when you are not around? Kiwi in Cat City is the first book in a series, of which there are six fun adventures so far. Kiwi seems like a typical moggie, content to nap in the sun and chase shadows, but she has a secret. She is a magical cat from a place called Cat City. With her two humans, James and Amy, Kiwi finds mysteries and adventures, dealing with catnappings, jewel thieves, giant mice, time travel, haunted houses, Father Christmas, pyramids and more. The fun stories contain positive messages about loyalty, friendship, honesty, bullying and the power of standing together.

    1. My cat is a bit fussy with snow. She sniffs it and stays in! Good luck!

  2. At Joe - mine LOVE the snow too! Do you ever make a snowball and throw it for them to play fetch, but as soon as it hits the ground it explodes - and they don't realize that, so they search and search for it and come up covered nose to ears in snowdust!
There is NOT enough room here to tell all the stories of my 3 fur-kidz (who total 220 pounds)! Do I lead with how we had to buy a kingsize bed just to accommodate them (because, of course they all sleep in the bed with us)! Or the way my "daughter" rolls around on the floor over her favorite toy, legs kicking in the air, while grunting...yes, grunting. Or how two of them are SO LAZY when it comes to tug-o-war that they lay down on their sides, ball or bone clasped between them, with the occasional head tug - oh yes, and they growl and "honk" the whole time. It's quite distracting when trying to watch tv or talking on the phone. But I LOVE my pups!

  3. I don't have any pet. Blame my small room that doesn't fit a human being let alone a pet. But I like to see my friend with their pet. I have a bookworm friend who also cat-lover, sometimes she tells me her cats mischievous story. One time, she found her cat so piss off with the book she love and pee on that book. It hilarious ;p

  5. When we adopted our pet cat Felix from the OSPCA, he was just about to be "issued his eviction papers," let's say, and we could see why. He was literally over 30some lbs and would not even close to fit in the cat carrier that we brought - we had to borrow a dog cage to take him home in because he was so large. I could not even lift him, at all. Now, after two and a half yrs., he's down to 24.8lbs, which is a huge improvement. We had to put him on a special diet after his stomach lining burst, most likely from being so large - that part is not funny - long story short, he had emergency surgery, very bleak prognosis, but he made it through and has lost a lot of weight since. We are blessed to have him - he is truly the best behaved/mannered cat I have ever met. abrennan09@hotmail.com

  7. I have two adorable bunnies, and the most hilarious thing I've seen is when one of them gets the hiccups. They seem so startled by it!

  8. We used to have a cat who acted more like a dog. She would play fetch and greet us at the door when we came home.

  9. My dog, Gershwin, is 15 and he has this unusual habit of getting annoyed at the funniest things. If you raise your arms in the air, he growls. If you hug another person in his presence, he barks. If you show your teeth at him, he growls. If you point your finger at him, he growls. If you say the word 'squirrel,' he runs to the window or door and starts barking. If you make a funny noise with your mouth, he growls.
He's the sweetest dog though. If he tries to bite (which isn't very hard) he will stop almost immediately and start licking you. He puts up with a lot because we like to tease him. He's so cute and sweet!

  12. during storms our female cat will run to the window to see where the flash of light came from (almost running head first into it) then when the thunder comes she runs and hides. Only to be repeated again with the next lighting flash. Just can't help herself

  13. My Malti-poo, Kefa, is an Olympic jumper. She can jump four feet straight up or higher. We had an eating counter top at our former house and my husband, who is notorious for leaving foodstuffs out, left a HUGE block of cheese on the chest high countertop. I told him to move it because Kefa would jump up and get it. He argued with me, telling me that my "little bitty dog" could NOT jump that high and "drag down a block of cheese bigger than her head." Less than five minutes later, there was a loud "CLUMP!" Kefa had leapt onto the countertop, dragged the 3-lb or heavier block of cheese down, and proceeded to chow down. Thanks for the chance to win. michelle_willms@yahoo.com

  15. We used to have a cat by the name of Bite-em-Back because since it was a baby my brother would hold its paw and bite down and the cat would immediately bite him back

  16. I don't have a specific funny story, but our adopted pittie, Rocket, makes me smile every day. He's even trained to jump in your arms when you say "Rocket launch." Thanks!
